There are many types of Preparations that you can make with Essential Oils.  Among those are the following:
 
 
INHALATION
 
*a drop on a cotton ball or handkerchief
*a drop in a bowl of warm water
*a drop in the humidifer
*a drop on an aroma lamp ring
*a drop in an aroma diffuser
*3 to 5 drops diluted in a tablespoon of carrier oil and added to still bath water
 
 
MASSAGE
 
*3 to 5 drops diluted in a tablespoon of carrier oil
 
 
FACIAL STEAMBATH
 
*3 to 5 drops diluted in a quart of hot water.  Cover your head with a towel and lean over the mixture
 
 
FLORAL WATER SPRITZ
 
*3 to 5 drops diluted in a quart of distilled water.  Pour into spray bottles and use as desired
 
 
CLAY MASK
 
*add water to purchased cosmetic green clay to make a past.  add a drop of essential oil
 
 
PURCHASED BODY & HAIR CARE PRODUCTS
 
*add a drop of essential oil to store-bought shampoo, shower gel, creams and lotions
 
 
BATH SALTS
 
*add 3 to 5 drops to a handful of epsom or sea salts.  pour into the bath water and agitate to mix before getting in
 
 
COMPRESS
 
*add 3 to 5 drops to a small bowl of water.  place a clean washcloth or piece of absorbant cotton into the bowl.  squeeze out any excess water and apply the cloth to the effected area.  compress may be hot or cold
 
 
SACHETS
 
*add a drop to sachets to freshen rooms, closets or drawers
 
 
POTPOURRI
 
*add 3 to 5 drops to a store-bought or home-made mixture to keep scent fresh
 
 
PERFUME
 
*combine essential oils with a carrier oil to create your own individual scent
